Toth Mato

Mato Toth born in year 1954 in the village Repas near Drava river.
He began painting on the glass when he was 15 years old.
He displayed his works for the first time at the group exhibition of the “Molve Circle” painters in 1972.
After that numerous exhibitions in the country and abroad have followed. 
Mato Toth creates singular paintings of subtle colouring with the figures depicted in pastel shades, and yet it all vanishes in or emerges from a sort of haze. Such an atmosphere is present in the most of his paintings.

Mato Toth died 31.12.2018. in Koprivnica.
